All are welcome to join the Prior Lake Garden Club for two free garden tours that are planned for the evening of Thursday, Aug. 21.
The tour will include the gardens located at these locations:
Connie Young
11333 Louisiana Circle, Bloomington
6 p.m.
The gardens have evolved over 36 years. Perennials are the backbone of the gardens, and, because some have a very short blooming season, a variety of annuals have been planted for constant color. This gardener describes hers as “a haven of colorful happiness.”
Melissa Fulson
7172 Crown Oak Road, Eden Prairie
7 p.m.
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum has been a huge source of inspiration, but with so much shade in my yard, the owner had to get creative to maximize the shade gardens potential. Her tradition of picking a “favorite plant of the week” lets her see the garden in a fresh light, revealing new beauty each season.
