A prominent supporter of the Prior Lake business community will be retiring next week, but not before city officials declared Dec. 19 her official day.
Prior Lake Chamber President Sandi Fleck will retire on Jan. 3 after serving as leader of the business organization for over 22 years. An official proclamation by the city declaring Dec. 19 “Sandi Fleck Day in Prior Lake” was presented to her during the council meeting held on Dec. 10. The proclamation noted her leadership and dedication that transformed the local organization over the years, growing it from 83 members to its current membership of 532.
Fleck led hundreds of luncheon meetings and community events. She also spearheaded annual city celebrations such as Prior Lake Days, Fall Community Fest, Downtown Dazzle and Ladies’ Night Out gatherings that supported area businesses.
She will share some of the highlights from her lengthy career in a feature story that will publish in an upcoming edition of Prior Lake News Compass, which will include information about the incoming Chamber President.
