The annual Fish Lake 5K Festival and run will be held on Sunday, May 4 at Fish Lake Immanuel Lutheran Church, 20200 Fairlawn Ave., Prior Lake.

The event will feature a day of fun entertainment for the entire family, including festivities for children, food and a silent auction. Runners are encouraged to register for the 5K run through scenic countryside.

The festival is an annual community outreach event sponsored by the church, and is open to the public. The 5K run/walk will take place on a certified course that winds around Fish Lake in rural Scott County. The course is 75% paved and 25% gravel with one moderate hill.

Funds raised through the event supports various local organizations. This year’s main recipient is the Law Enforcement Labor Services Benevolent Fund that supports Minnesota public safety professionals who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty, along with their families.
