The City of Prior Lake Public Works Department will be flushing water hydrants for the next few weeks and residents may experience discolored water, pressure changes or increased chlorine odor when crews are working in nearby neighborhoods.
Staff members recommend that residents run cold water through several faucets within their home to make certain water is clear before washing clothes or using it for cooking.
The process usually takes several weeks to complete the task on all of the 1,770 hydrants located throughout the city. Questions or concerns should be directed to the public works department’s email, pwadmin@priorlakemn.gov, or by calling (952) 447-9896.
