Sara Wintheiser is a passionate promoter of downtown Prior Lake.
She is one of the local business organizers planning Main Avenue’s “grand re-opening” scheduled for Thursday, May 1, beginning at 4 p.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
A total of 16 independent businesses offering a variety of services, give-aways, retail shopping, food and drink will be participating in the event.
Several new storefronts have been added to the downtown area in the past year, according to Wintheiser, co-owner of the Rhino Wine Bar. She adds that neighboring businesses have frequently banded together to create more synergy for the Main Avenue community as a whole.
“We have new neighbors and local businesses that have served the community for decades, ” Wintheiser said. “We want to celebrate our neighborhood and everyone’s success, and invite residents to learn more about the many things we have to offer.”
