Woman found dead in PL residence

Authorities performing a welfare check at a home Sunday afternoon found a deceased person in the residence.

According to a press release from the city, Prior Lake Police Department personnel responded to the 4500 block of Colorado Street Southeast at about 12:25 p.m. Upon arriving, officers found an unresponsive adult woman who was declared dead at the scene.

Law enforcement officials do not believe there is a danger to the public, according to the city’s press release. The incident remains under investigation, and the identity of the deceased will not be released until notification of their next of kin.
