
Brian Johnston passed away on Feb. 14 after battling pneumonia at the age of 53.
Brian was born March 26, 1971 to Donald and Terry Johnston in Bowman, North Dakota. He was the youngest of three children.
After moving to Prior Lake in 1973 with his family, Brian was very active in Prior Lake wrestling and Boy Scouts where he obtained his Eagle Scout rank. He graduated from Prior Lake Senior High School, then attended Saint Cloud State University majoring in law enforcement.
Brian moved to Sugarland, Texas where he and his wife, Marianne Ramsey Johnston, operated their security service business. Brian was father to Marianne’s daughter, Jennifer, and their daughter, Stephanie. Marianne passed away in Houston, Texas.
Brian returned to Minnesota where he worked for his uncle, Cabot Thunem, at his company, Underground Piercing. Brian met Tammy Reynolds and they were married Sept. 2, 2017. They lived in Story City, Iowa. Brian was always in good humor and definitely marched to his own drummer. He loved animals, his dog Dolly and several birds.
Brian is survived by wife Tammy, his daughter Stephanie, granddaughter Zelda, mother Terry Lee, father Donald Johnston, siblings Kimberly Archbold and Mark Johnston.
A Celebration of Life is being held on May 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sheri Johnston farm in Prior Lake.
