The Meadows at Mystic Lake will host a U.S. Women’s Open qualifying event on Tuesday, May 13.
The event is free and open to the public. Round 1 will be played between 7:30 and 9:20 a.m. Round 2 will run from 12:45 to 2:35 p.m.
As one of 23 qualifying sites across the U.S. (plus one each in Canada, Japan, and Italy), The Meadows will offer the competitive field a 36-hole challenge on the final scheduled day of qualifying events. Last year’s U.S. Women’s Open saw 26 golfers from qualifying events make the 36-hole cut at Lancaster Country Club.
The field for this year’s qualifying event should provide for an entertaining day of golf. Among the registered golfers are nearly two dozen LPGA professionals, 2024 Big Ten co-champion (and Minnesota native) Isabella McCauley, and the world’s No. 1 ranked player under the age of 13.
The 80th U.S. Women’s Open Championship will be held at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisconsin, from May 29-June 1.
