Three Prior Lake High School students —Meredith Clemens, Olivia Zirbel and Trevor Zwart — have each earned the highest possible composite score of 36 on the ACT, the standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States.
Earning a top score on the ACT is an extraordinary accomplishment, according to school officials. Historically, ACT has reported that fewer than one-half of 1% of all test takers reach this benchmark. The ACT exam includes sections in English, mathematics, reading and science, each scored on a scale from 1 to 36. A student’s composite score is the average of these four section scores.
