Five members of the Shepherd of the Lake Church choir will be heading to New York City this week to perform at Carnegie Hall.
Members of the Prior Lake church who will travel to New York include Marjean Hoeg, Marilyn Breeschoten, Sheryl Larsen and Joan Lompart. SOLC choir director Joanna Johnson will also participate in the Carnegie Hall performance.
They will join nearly 140 other singers from throughout the Twin Cities area who are part of the Reconcile Chorus that formed following a weekend retreat that focused on reconciliation, togetherness and community. The choral group also performed at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville on June 8.
