Two new members have been added to the executive leadership team for Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools, pending School Board approval, according to Superintendent Michael Thomas.

They are Dr. Tim Anderson, Executive Director of Academic Services, and Lisa Rider, Executive Director of Business Services. The new leaders will succeed Dr. Dan Edwards who recently moved into the superintendent’s role with the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted School District, while Tammy Fredrickson retired at the end of June.
Anderson brings extensive experience in educational leadership. He most recently served as Executive Director of Human Resources and Operations at St. Anthony–New Brighton Public Schools. His previous roles include principal at South View Middle School in Edina Public Schools, and Executive Director/Director in the Department of Learning and Teaching for Bloomington Public Schools. He has also served as Dean of Students in Bloomington Public Schools and taught social studies at both Bloomington Jefferson and Eden Prairie High School.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education from St. Olaf College, and from the University of Minnesota he earned a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, a K–12 Administrative license, a Doctorate in Educational Policy and Administration and a Superintendent license.
Anderson said he was very impressed with the highly committed, hard working and dedicated PLSAS team. His start date with the district was July 1.

Rider brings deep expertise in school finance and operations. She most recently served as Director of Finance and Operations for Red Wing Public Schools. Her previous roles include Controller for St. Paul Public Schools, Executive Director of Business Services for Burnsville–Eagan–Savage Public Schools (District 191), and Business Manager for Farmington Area Public Schools. She also has valuable private-sector experience from firms such as CliftonLarsonAllen and Schuetzle, Carlson & Co.
Rider holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She will start her new role on July 14.
