Some were quirky, identifying the theme of others may have taken some time. All were colorful, creative and made for another fun holiday on Prior Lake.
Welcome to the July 4 boat parade, a tradition upheld for years by the Prior Lake Association. Those celebrating the holiday gathered on the shores of Prior Lake or found a way to get on the water to view the small flotilla of themed entries. All were vying for a top spot in the annual parade in an effort to earn one of the cash prizes and bragging rights.
The winning parade entries and the skipper of each included:
- First place: SKOL Vikings, CeCe Just
- Second place (tie): Trollin’ Prior Lake, Brian Campbell and Conclave, Bonnie Lund
- Third place: Disney Celebrates the 4th, Jonny Olson
- Honorable mention: Moana Meets America, Mitchell Baumhoefner
- Honorable mention: Donut Shop, Patrick Simpkins
