The Laker Educational Foundation will celebrate 20 years of supporting staff and students within the Prior Lake-Savage Area School District on Thursday, Aug. 21.
The event is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center, 13550 Dakota Ave. S., Savage. All current and former LEF and school board members are invited to attend, along with local residents who are interested in learning more about the foundation.
It was during the summer of 2005 that the foundation was formed and 23 community members volunteered to serve on its board. In the first year, more than $60,000 was raised or pledged. In the past two decades, students throughout District 719 have benefitted from hundreds of grants that have been awarded.
Food and beverages will be served. Tickets may be purchased through this link.
