The Scott County Medical Reserve Corps will offer two education sessions for Prior Lake seniors that will focus on individual preparedness for older adults.
Participants will learn how to assess their needs, make a plan and engage in their support network. Discussion will include how to create an emergency kit and those who attend will be given worksheets and additional resources. The class will also outline volunteer opportunities that are available to help strengthen community preparedness within the corps.
The sessions are planned for:
- Monday, Sept. 22, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Club Prior, located within the Prior Lake Library building
- Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at La Ola Del Lago at Grainwood Elementary School, 5061 Minnesota St., Prior Lake
