Absentee and early voting will begin on Friday, Sept. 19, and will go through Monday, Nov. 3. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Voters who live in the City of Prior Lake will have two issues on which to vote, including the open position on the Prior Lake-Savage Area School Board, and the city’s bond referendum for park and trail improvements.

Because the PLSAS district involves other cities and townships, voting information on Nov. 4 for those entities can also be found below and has been provided by Heidi Simon, City Clerk for Prior Lake.

Absentee / Early Voting Information:

• Starts Friday, Sept. 19 and goes through the day before election day.
• Two methods to vote:
  • In person
    • All ISD 719 boundary citizens can vote early at Prior Lake City Hall. This includes the following: City of Prior Lake, City of Credit River precinct 1, City of Savage (Precincts 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9), Spring Lake Township, Cedar Lake Township and Sand Creek Township.
    • Hours are every day, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Extended hours: Saturday, Nov. 1, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, Nov. 3,  8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • By mail
    • Submit request via completing absentee application and emailing to hsimon@priorlakemn.gov or mwalz@plsas.org or sending via the U.S. Postal Service to City of Prior Lake, c/o City Clerk, 4646 Dakota Street SE, Prior Lake, MN 55372.
    • Mail out ballots will start to be mailed no earlier than Friday, Sept. 19.

Election Day Voting Information:

• Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
• Polling Hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Polling Locations are:
  • City of Prior Lake, normal polling locations. All nine precincts will be open as normal.
  • City of Savage Voters who live in ISD 719 (Precincts 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) are voting at this combined polling location: McColl Pond ELC (Savage Community Park 13550 Dakota Ave S., Savage).
  • City of Credit River Voters who live in ISD 719 (Precinct 1) are voting at their normal polling location (Cleary Lake Regional Park, 18106 Texas Ave., Prior Lake).
  • Spring Lake Township, Cedar Lake Township and Sand Creek Township Voters who live in ISD 719 will vote at Spring Lake Township Hall (20381 Fairlawn Avenue, Prior Lake).
