Prior Lake Library’s next “Club Book” event is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m., and will feature novelist Jon Hickey, a member of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Chippewa (Anishinaabe) Indians in Wisconsin.
Hickey will read certain excerpts and answer questions about his debut novel, “Big Chief,” set in the fictional Passage Rouge Reservation in northern Wisconsin where tensions run high as young tribal members vie for leadership positions.
“Big Chief” has charted high on the “Most Anticipated Club Books of 2025” lists. This is a free event open to the public, and registration is not required.
The Prior Lake Library is located at 16210 Eagle Creek Avenue in downtown Prior Lake.
