The Prior Lake High School Choir will kick off their concert season on Monday, Oct. 13, when they perform “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake.
The twelve-movement Baroque piece will include all members of the PLHS choir and will feature singers Sophie Kalis, Grace Galbus, Katie Weaver, Chloe Erickson and Addie Terwey in solo or duet movements.
The PLHS Concert Choir will perform “Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme” by J.S. Bach while “Miserere Mei” by J.A. Hasse will be sung by the PLHS Chorale.
The timeless and beautiful Baroque selections will be accompanied by a 19-piece orchestra of professional musicians from across the Twin Cities, many of whom perform with organizations such as Minnesota Orchestra, Minnesota Opera and other professional and semi-professional groups in the Greater Twin Cities metropolitan area.
All PLHS Choir concerts are open to the public. The Oct. 13 event is the first of several performances scheduled for the 2025-2026 PLHS Choir Concert Series. Tickets can be purchased online using this link.
