This report is based on information submitted by the Prior Lake Police Department for responses between October 7-13, 2025. All calls for service may not be included; all subjects arrested and named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
October 7
Medical: Police assisted with the following medical calls at these locations: Rutledge Street, Eagles Circle, Bobcat Trail, Fairlawn Shores Trail, Park Nicollet Avenue and Eagles Circle.
Accident: A woman reported to police she had struck a deer on County Road 21 near Revere Avenue. The vehicle was drivable and she drove from the scene.
October 8
Medical: Police assisted with the following medical calls at these locations: Shepherd’s Path and Deerfield Circle.
Accident: Police were dispatched to the intersection of Eagle Creek Avenue and 154th Street that resulted in no injuries.
Fire: Police were called to the Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home on Pleasant Street after a call was received about a fire in the back parking lot. The Prior Lake Fire Department took charge of the situation. It was determined a construction crew had been on site earlier in the day and inadvertently started a small fire in a pile of woodchips.
Fire: Police were dispatched to a fire in a grassy area near the intersection of 150th Street and Estate Avenue which they extinguished shortly after arrival.
Property found: A person living on 150th Street called police to report that surveying equipment was found in his yard and he was worried it had been either lost or stolen. Another neighbor said a line crew from a local phone company was working in the area and had left to get more equipment. The items were left at the phoneline box.
Hazard: A construction crew hit a gas line on Martindale Street. The Prior Lake Fire Department took control of the scene upon arrival.
Hazard: Police responded to a hazard on Lori Road following a construction crew hitting a gas line. The situation was handled by the Prior Lake Fire Department.
Hazard: Police were called to address tree branches in the roadway near Highway 13 and Oakland Beach that had apparently fallen off of someone’s truck load. The branches were moved off of the roadway.
Theft: A Castlegate Way resident reported to police that an old, black grill that was under tree branches had been stolen from his back yard.
Traffic Criminal: Officers responded to an accident that occurred at the intersection of Eagle Creek Avenue and 140th Street. Its driver was arrested and booked into Scott County Jail for third degree DWI and driving while impaired.
Warrant: Police found a man asleep in grass located near County Road 42 and McKenna Road. He did not know where he was or where he wanted to go. Police confirmed Dakota County had issued a misdemeanor warrant and the party was arrested without incident.
October 9
Medical: Police assisted with the following medical calls at these locations: Shepherd’s Path, Wilds Lane, Sioux Trail and Mystic Lake Boulevard.
Accident: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 154th Street and Marsh Street and both were traveling eastbound. One vehicle did not see that the other had braked and stopped, and a rear-end collision resulted. The car that was hit sustained severe and disabling damage.
Traffic Criminal: Police stopped a driver on Duluth Avenue who was known to have a revoked license. While arresting the individual a strong alcoholic odor was detected and she was arrested for suspicion of DWI and DWI with an aggravating factor with having a child in the vehicle.
Traffic Criminal: A hit-and-run accident occurred near the intersection of county roads 82 and 83. Police caught up with the driver and after speaking with him, noticed a strong alcohol odor. He was arrested for suspicion of DWI.
Traffic Criminal: A person driving near the intersection of Mushtown Road and Toronto Avenue was arrested for fourth degree DWI.
October 10
Medical: Police assisted with the following medical calls at these locations: Mystic Lake Boulevard, Pheasant Meadow Lane, Fish Point Road, Trail of Dreams, Shepherd’s Path and Credit River Road.
Fraud: A Fish Point Road resident reported that she received a call from someone who said she had warrants out for her arrest and needed to send cash and gift cards as instructed. The woman became suspicious when the caller asked for gift cards. The reporting party did not comply with the request to send either. Police spoke to the person about such scams.
Hazard: A gas line was accidentally hit on Island View Circle while a crew was digging in that area. Center Point Energy responded to the incident.
Suspicious: A Pleasant Street resident reported that someone was ringing their doorbell and walking along the back fence to their yard. The subject was advised to call the reporting party before coming over and to not walk on the property without permission.
Suspicious: Police received an IPhone crash notification in the area of Langford Boulevard and Sunray Circle. Nothing was found when police investigated the area.
Traffic Criminal: Police stopped a woman driving near County Road 21 and Franklin Trail for a stop sign violation and failure to signal a turn. She was subsequently arrested for DWI, expired registration of plates, driving while impaired, open bottle, drinking and consumption.
October 11
Medical: Police assisted with the following medical calls at these locations: Credit River Road and Tranquility Court.
Accident: A car traveling through the parking lot at Mystic Lake Casino rear-ended another car that was traveling at a very low speed.
Disturbance: A report was made by a resident on Five Hawks Avenue who said an intoxicated man was throwing items in the home. Officers mediated the situation. One person left the residence for the night.
Disturbance: Police received a report indicating a passenger would not get out of their vehicle after a disagreement about where they wanted to go. The issue was resolved when police arrived.
Suspicious: Police found a driver asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked near the intersection of Five Hawks Avenue and Priorwood Street. There was no sign of impairment and the driver departed without incident.
Suspicious: A resident living on Sunflower Way reported that a bullet came through the outer wall of his master bedroom. The bullet was collected.
Suspicious: Police responded to an automatic crash notification near the intersection of Highway 13 and Panama Avenue. Upon investigation, the phone was located in the roadway and returned to its owner.
October 12
Medical: Police assisted with the following medical calls at these locations: McKenna Road, Candlewood Lane, Wilds Lane, Glendale Avenue, Adelmann Street, Hidden Oaks Circle and Edinborough Avenue.
Accident: A woman called police to report that her vehicle had been struck while she was inside Mystic Lake Casino. The reporting party sent photos of the damage but authorities were unable to determine the vehicle that caused the damage.
October 13
Medical: Police assisted with the following medical calls at these locations: Sage Way, Highway 13 and Tranquility Court.
Accident: A car that was parked in a parking spot on Sioux Trail was hit by another on the rear driver’s side door near the wheel well. Minor damage was reported to the passenger side front bumper on the other vehicle.
Found property: A wallet that was found in The Wilds neighborhood was turned into police. It included medical cards and other documents. Police left a voice mail for its owner.
Hazard: A Tower Street resident reported that the deck below her apartment had a charcoal grill that was smoking badly. Police found an electric grill on that deck which was not turned on.
Suspicious: A verbal warning was issued to two individuals for violating the city’s ordinance for being in the park after hours.
