Visit structures from the 1800s and discover how builders relied on the natural environment to provide the materials to create their homes that are now located at The Landing in Shakopee, which is part of the Three Rivers Park District.
Become familiar with various types of architecture such as Gothic, Victorian and Cottage style during a special event planned for Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon. Buildings built more than a 100 years ago have been relocated to the grounds. Many are furnished with items used more than a century ago.
The program is designed for children age 6 and up. Those who are 11 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (763) 559-6700 by Nov. 6. A fee will be charged.
The Landing is located in Minnesota River Heritage Park, 2187 County Rd 101, Shakopee.
