The Second Annual “Pints for Pups” fundraiser honoring Police Officer Matt Ruge will be held at Prior Lake VFW on Sunday, April 27 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The event will feature live music by Lakeside Big Band from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Food will be available for purchase, while a bake sale and silent auction are also planned.
Ruge was one of three first responders killed in February 2024 while answering a domestic call in Burnsville. Funds are being raised in the name of his K9 partner, “Ranger,” and contributed to the Burnsville Police Department K9 Fund to be used for ongoing training of service dogs.
The event is open to the public. Prior Lake VFW is located at 16306 Main Ave., in downtown Prior Lake.
