The Scott County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a body in the Minnesota River near the entrance to the port located on Yosemite Avenue in Savage at approximately 10:25 a.m. on Sunday, April 28.
First responders located the body of an unidentified man in the river.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Savage Police Department and the Savage Fire Department.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating this death. Positive identification of the deceased, along with an official cause of death will be made by the examiner’s office.
