Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church’s Lakeside Studio will present the Broadway musical “The Prince of Egypt” Aug. 1 – 3.
Journey through the wonders of ancient Egypt as two young men, raised together in a kingdom of privilege, suddenly find themselves divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharoah, while the other must rise up and free his people. Both face a destiny that will change history forever.
The presentation will be filled with colorful characters, energetic choreography and music.
Performances will be held at the church, 3611 N. Berens Rd., Prior Lake, and are scheduled on Friday, Aug. 1 and Saturday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. The Sunday, Aug. 3, presentation will begin at 3 p.m. Tickets are free. A free-will offering will be taken at all performances to benefit Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization dedicated to building, assembling and delivering bunk beds to children and families in need.
