
Curtis B. Waters passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the age of 82. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, and he will be greatly missed.
Curtis was born on May 23, 1943, in Range, Wisconsin, to Bruce Joseph Waters and Gladys Marie Waters. He and his three siblings, Gary Waters, Sandy Waters and Patricia Sannon, spent their childhood growing up in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin, before moving to Bloomington, Minnesota at the age of 12. He attended Bloomington High School with the Class of 1961.
On June 9, 1962, Curtis married his lovely wife, Dianne Louise Waters. Together they built a life in Prior Lake, Minnesota, where they bought a home and raised four children. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing on Prior Lake and spending time in his gardens. Later in life, Curt found great joy in discovering his roots, tracing his family history and connecting deeply with those who came before him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Dianne Louise Waters; his children, Keith Waters (Krista), Bruce Waters (Kimberly), Tracey Brooks (James) and Katherine Cover (Anthony); his cherished grandchildren, Alison Hodson, Ben Waters, Sara Brooks, Colton Brooks, Connor Brooks, Megan Alvarado and Kelly LaRose; his nine great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Patricia Sannon and Sandy Waters. He also leaves behind extended family and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Joseph Waters and Gladys Marie Waters; his brother, Gary Waters; sister-in-law, Gail Waters; great-grandson, Ayden Brooks; brother-in-law, Tim Collopy; and sister-in-law, Barbara Waters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 9, at Brewsters Bar & Grill, 9856 50th St. W., Lonsdale, Minnesota from 1 to 3 p.m. Pizza and beverages will be provided.
