December 30
Suspicious: Police received a report at 11:30 p.m. of people being in the park located on Spring Lake Road and 170th Street. They were advised of park hours.
Traffic Criminal: A 38-year-old Prior Lake woman was arrested for driving while impaired, refusal to submit to a chemical test, fourth degree DWI, driving after suspension and failure to drive in a single lane. The arrest was made at 7:29 p.m. near the intersection of Eagle Creek Avenue and County Road 42.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from these locations with time noted: Lakeside Avenue, 10:31 a.m.; Manitou Road, 11:06 a.m.; Tower Street, 6:31 p.m.; Dakota Trail, 9:22 p.m.; Jeffers Pass, 9:40 p.m.; Rolling Oaks Circle, 10:37 p.m.
December 31
Assault: A 20-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested for misdemeanor assault and causing fear of harm. The incident occurred on Wilds Lane and was reported at 11:56 a.m.
Accident: A driver traveling near the intersection of Franklin Trail and Park Nicollet Avenue slid off of the roadway at approximately 1:43 p.m. and hit a light pole on the southwest corner. The car sustained moderate damage to the front passenger side. A driver passing by offered to assist in pulling the vehicle back on the roadway. Information was forwarded to the Prior Lake Public Works Department so the light pole that was hit could be inspected.
Disturbance: A 44-year-old Prior Lake man was cited for misdemeanor disorderly conduct involving offensive, abusive or noisy behavior. A 52-year-old Prior Lake woman was also cited for misdemeanor nuisance involving noise that was produced by an electronic device. The incident was reported at 8:41 p.m. on Marsh Drive.
Information: The manager of a local gas station called police at 8:55 p.m. to report that two juvenile males walked into the store holding a hard liquor bottle but had departed before police arrived.
Traffic Criminal: A 48-year-old Prior Lake woman was arrested at 11:49 p.m. near the intersection of county roads 21 and 82 for gross misdemeanor second degree driving while impaired, fourth degree drug possession, fifth degree drug possession, cannabis in an open package and driving over the center line.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from these locations with time noted: Five Hawks Avenue, 9:05 a.m.; Parkview Lane, 4:09 p.m.; Eagles Circle, 6:48 p.m.
January 1
Disturbance: A 36-year-old Minneapolis man was cited for misdemeanor disorderly conduct at 12:33 a.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard.
Disturbance: Three people — one from Savage and two from Shakopee — were cited for misdemeanor disorderly conduct, brawling or fighting, at 1:46 a.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard.
Accident: No injuries were reported following an accident that occurred at 2:29 a.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard. The case is pending processing.
Property Damage: A report of property damage was made to police at 10:53 a.m. that occurred near Northwood Road and Linden Circle. The case is pending processing.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from these locations with time noted: Shepherd’s Path, 2:27 a.m.; Brunswick Avenue, 3:48 a.m.; Manitou Road, 5:32 a.m.; Manitou Road, 10:29 a.m.; Butternut Circle, 10:33 a.m.; Bennett Street, 1:22 p.m.
January 2
Suspicious: Police received a report at 12:08 a.m. that involved a vehicle parked after hours, remained running and contained occupants who said they were just listening to music. Police advised them to go home.
Drugs: A 41-year-old woman from Sioux Falls, S.D. was arrested for fifth degree felony drug possession at 11:49 a.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from these locations with time noted: Mystic Lake Boulevard, 1:02 a.m.; Park Nicollet Avenue, 7:30 a.m.; Deerfield Drive, 5:36 p.m.; River Birch Lane, 9:45 p.m.; Adelmann Street, 11:22 p.m.; Dove Court, 11:36 p.m.
January 3
Disturbance: Five people between the ages of 18 and 35 were cited at 5:40 a.m. for disorderly conduct, brawling and fighting on Mystic Lake Boulevard.
Accidents: Two accidents which did not involve injuries occurred on Mystic Lake Boulevard. One was reported at 1:50 a.m., while the other happened at 5:25 p.m.

January 4
Assist: Police encountered a vehicle at 4:33 a.m. that had broken down on the roadway and was blocking the turn lane at northbound County Road 83 and Wilds Parkway. Officers assisted the party with fuel and a jump start. The driver departed without further issue.
Accident: A driver traveling near County Road 42 and Meadow Avenue struck a trash can at 8:38 p.m. that was in the roadway. Damage was done to the passenger side mirror. Police spoke to the resident who had placed the trash can beyond the driveway and was unaware of the city ordinance.

January 5
Suspicious: While on routine patrol, police observed at 12:48 a.m. a vehicle that was running and occupied while parked in a business parking lot off of 160th Street. The driver said he had a flat tire and had pulled into the lot. Due to multiple burglaries recently reported within the city, his driver’s license was requested. He had already called for roadside assistance and did not need further help from police.
Hazard: Police received a report at 9:12 a.m. regarding a car battery that was left in the middle of Eagle Creek Avenue and Highway 13. Police moved it to the side of the road.
Fraud: A Prior Lake resident dropped off $25 at the Prior Lake Police Department at 10:11 a.m. along with mail received from a law enforcement memorial fund. The correspondence stated it was a Prior Lake fund but it was not part of the drive. The money was returned to the resident who was advised of fraud.
Accident: One vehicle was rear-ended by another at 5:41 p.m. near the intersection of county roads 83 and 42. Both had entered the turn lane to go eastbound on County Road 42. The vehicle that was hit sustained minor damage; the second vehicle sustained moderate damage to the passenger side front bumper.
Hazard: A resident living on Frost Point Circle called at 7:36 p.m. to report their electric breaker was tripping and something smelled as though it was burning. The Prior Lake Fire Department responded to the call.
Assist: Police observed two pedestrians at 8:34 p.m. walking on the road near Highway 13 and Main Avenue and asked if assistance was needed which they declined. Police recommended they use the sidewalk rather than highway due to visibility issues.

January 6
Accident: Police received a report of an accident at 7:47 a.m. that occurred near the intersection of Fish Point Road and Cardinal Ridge Trail. No accident was found upon arrival.
Suspicious: Police received a report at 11:49 a.m. involving a man who was dancing in the middle of the road and throwing objects out of his vehicle that was located near 160th Street and Jordan Avenue. Officers found him to be argumentative. He said he didn’t want to speak with police and did not need further assistance.
