Brady Gaebel was officially sworn in as an officer with the Prior Lake Police Department on March 10 and assigned shield No. 70.
The ceremony was held during the Prior Lake City Council meeting and the oath of office was administered by Police Chief Liam Duggan.
Gaebel previously served two years with the St. Cloud Police Department. Prior to that time, he served in the U.S. Army. Even as a young boy, he had always dreamed of becoming officer, according to Duggan.
While he was hired in October, Gaebel recently completed the city’s field training program which is customary before an officer takes the oath of office.
