March 30
Suspicious: Police responded to a call received at 11:46 a.m. involving a rope tied around a deer head on Stonecrest Path. The deer had been shot legally. Police relayed that multiple complaints had been received, and it needed to be moved onto the owner’s property. Police were told the owner planned on burying the head once the ground was no longer frozen.
Hazard: A report of a main water valve breaking near Glynwater Trail and Spring Glen Circle was received by police at 1:58 a.m. Minor flooding of the street was observed. Police alerted the city’s public works department about the situation.
Theft: Police investigated a report of theft on Pheasant Meadows Lane at 1:41 p.m. The object reported stolen was later found.
Accident: Police were called to an accident that occurred at 2:19 p.m. near the intersection of Flandreau Trail and Mystic Lake Boulevard.

March 31
Accident: No injuries were sustained in an accident that was reported at 12:29 a.m. on Mystic Lake Road.
Traffic Criminal: A 51-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI; gross misdemeanor DWI for having a blood alcohol level of more than .08 within two hours; and petty misdemeanor traffic violation for failure to dim headlights within 1,000 feet of an oncoming vehicle. The traffic stop occurred at 1:22 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 13 and Green Oaks Trail.
Fire: Prior Lake Police assisted with traffic control while the Prior Lake Fire Department fought a fire in a home on Wilderness Trail. The blaze was first reported at 5:17 a.m., and the home sustained major damage.
Fraud: Police received a call at 10:15 a.m. from a resident on Trail Point Court who said they had received a letter from the Internal Revenue Service that looked fraudulent and had no return address. The party did not respond to the letter; police told them to discard it.
Fraud: A Willow Beach Street resident reported to police that he received a call made from an unknown telephone number, called the number back, and the answering party indicated he had purchased a gun, which he denied. Police gave him a booklet on identity theft and advised him to check with his bank and credit bureau to ensure his accounts had not been accessed.
Burglary: Police were called to a home on West Woodland Trail at 11:19 p.m. when a report of a burglary was received. The case is under investigation.

April 1
Traffic Criminal: A 43-year-old Owatonna man was arrested at 3:51 a.m. near the intersection of County Road 21 and Adelmann Street for gross misdemeanor third-degree refusal to test, misdemeanor fourth-degree operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and petty misdemeanor failure to obey a traffic control device.
Traffic Criminal: A 34-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested for misdemeanor fourth-degree DWI, misdemeanor fourth-degree DWI with a blood alcohol level of more than .08 within two hours, misdemeanor related to a cannabis package that was open while driving a motor vehicle, noncompliant packaging or container and a petty misdemeanor related to a stop sign violation.
Hazard: Police assisted at 10:35 p.m. in removing a dead cat from the roadway near Eagle Creek Avenue and Fountain Hills Drive.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from these locations with time noted: Edinborough Avenue, 12:22 a.m.; Sunray Circle, 11:03 a.m.; 160th Street, 1:18 p.m.; Cherry Court, 4:21 p.m.; Brunswick Avenue, 6:20 p.m.
April 2
Accident: Police were called to an accident at 8:25 p.m. after a car hit a deer at Marschall Road and 170th Street.
Slumper: Police located a man sleeping in his vehicle at 11:59 p.m. while parked on Duluth Avenue. There were no signs of impairment.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from these locations with time noted: Shepherd’s Path, 1:39 p.m.; Franklin Trail, 5:02 p.m.
April 3
Accident: Two vehicles were involved in an accident that happened at 8:17 a.m. on Fish Point Road. Damage was done to both vehicles, but there were no injuries.
Accident: Police were called to Mystic Lake Boulevard at 10:17 a.m. following a crash that involved two vehicles.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from these locations with time noted: Park Nicollet Avenue, 6:25 a.m.; Cedar Circle, 1:04 p.m.; Mystic Lake Boulevard, 9:20 p.m.; Main Avenue, 10:16 p.m.
April 4
Disturbance: Police responded to a report of an assault in progress at 12:12 a.m. on Wilds Path. The reporting party said they had been hit in the mouth by a person they knew, but he had left before police arrived.
Theft: A 41-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for felony theft and on a misdemeanor warrant issued by Hennepin County for failure to appear in court. The arrest was made at 9:27 a.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard.
Accident: An accident involving one vehicle occurred at 11:32 a.m. near the intersection of Raspberry Ridge Road and Eagle Creek Avenue. There were no injuries.
Accident: Police investigated an accident involving property damage to two vehicles that collided at 12:10 p.m. at County Road 42 and Eagle Creek Avenue.
Property Damage: A Sunray Circle resident called police to report a moving vehicle picking up a storage unit had done damage to branches on her tree. The incident was report at 2:50 p.m.
Traffic Criminal: A 62-year-old man from Dayton was arrested for third-degree DWI, refusal to test and fourth-degree DWI for driving while impaired.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from this location with time noted: Park Nicollet Avenue, 2:34 p.m.
April 5
Suspicious: A resident living near Wilds Parkway and Wildwood Trail called police at 9:54 a.m. to report that a person wearing body armor, a face covering and dark-colored clothing was walking in the area. Police located the man who was wearing a weighted vest and talked to him before he continued on his walk.
Hazard: Police assisted at 1:08 p.m. in removing a metal chair that was lying in the roadway near County Road 42 and Meadow Lawn Trail.
Hazard: A Seagull Circle resident called police at 1:23 p.m. to report that he nicked a gas line while digging a hole. He contacted the line marking crew to identify the area. A member of the Prior Lake Fire Department determined the line had not been cut, nor was it leaking.
