Prior Lake Rotary’s Lakefront Music Fest, which has grown into one of the largest music festivals in the metro area, is scheduled for July 10-11 at Lakefront Park.
Ticket sales indicate another successful year with weekend packages expected to sell out ahead of schedule. Weekend packages normally sell out around June 1 and this year, weekend packages could sell out two weeks early. Event organizers attribute the lineup and the overall unique experience the event provides for strong ticket sales.
Last year, more than 32,000 attended the two-day festival.
“We are grateful for the continued support of the community and the entire Twin Cities area, which allows us to produce Lakefront Music Fest and give back each year,” said Event Director Michelle Jirik. “Year after year proceeds from the event are used to support so many incredible organizations.”
Proceeds benefit the Prior Lake Rotary Foundation, which supports educational, humanitarian and environmental activities in the Prior Lake community, nationally and worldwide. Prior Lake Rotary presented checks totaling nearly $142,000 last fall to representatives from area non-profit organizations that assisted with making Lakefront Music Fest held in July a success.
This year’s talent lineup includes:
Friday, July 10 (Rock Night)
- Billy Idol (Headliner)
- George Thorogood & The Destroyers
- Jefferson Starship
Saturday, July 11 (Country Night)
- Keith Urban (Headliner)
- Jackson Dean
