The City of Savage’s annual celebration of Dan Patch Days is scheduled for June 25-28.
A variety of activities for all ages will be held throughout the city. Special events include:
Thursday, June 25
- A craft beer and wine tasting fundraiser hosted by the Savage Rotary Club, is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. at the McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center. Tickets can be purchased at Marketplace Liquor, Savage Wine & Spirits or from any Rotarian.
Friday, June 26
- Adult Night, Community Park. Gates open at 5 p.m. with food trucks on site. No outside food or coolers will be allowed. Lawn chairs are permitted. “The Odd Goods” will play from 6 to 7:45 p.m., with the headliner, “The Fabulous Armadillos” scheduled to play from 8:30 to 11 p.m.
Saturday, June 27
- The Dan Patch Grand Day Parade will be featured in the downtown area. Parade line-up is at 10 a.m., with the big event scheduled for 11 a.m.
- Skateboard events will be held at Savage Skate Park, 13500 Dakota Ave. 3rd Lair Savage Skateboard will host a free clinic at 10 a.m., followed by a skateboard contest at noon.
- Many activities will be held throughout the day at Community Park, including a children’s market, inflatable archery range, kids inflatables, business expo, face painting, bingo and a cookie-eating contest.
- Live music will be provided by Gen X Jukebox from 7 to 11 p.m.
- Fireworks will light up the evening sky at dusk.
Sunday, June 28
- The Savage Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast at Fire Station #2, 13105 Dakota Ave. (City Hall Campus) from 7 a.m. to noon.
