This report is based on information submitted by the Prior Lake Police Department for responses between March 10-17, 2026. All calls for service may not be included; all subjects arrested and named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
March 10
Harassment: Police received a report at 8:35 a.m. that a person had taken control of someone else’s Snapchat account and was reportedly using it to send harassing messages to others.
Property Damage: Police received a call at 2:40 p.m. from a Watersedge Trail resident who reported a window had been broken sometime during the past month when the home was vacant.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from these locations with time noted: Trailhead Lane, 12:01 a.m.; Majestic Lane, 1:02 p.m.; Wilds Lane, 3:56 p.m.
March 11
Accident: An accident was reported at 8 a.m. near the intersection of Fish Point Road and Miller Circle. One party driving west on Fish Point Road, slid on the icy roadway and collided with a mailbox. No injuries were reported. Minor damage was done to the vehicle and the mailbox. Insurance information was exchanged between those involved.
Accident: Police cited ice-covered roads as being a factor in an accident that occurred at Fremont Avenue and Northwood Road at approximately 8:55 a.m. A driver hit a pine tree located in the front yard of a home on Fremont. Major damage was done to the vehicle and minimal damage to the tree.
Fraud: A resident living on Franklin Trail reported to police at 10:16 a.m. that a letter had been left at his door indicating he was late in paying his CenterPoint Energy bill and was to scan the barcode included on the letter. The resident contacted the company and representatives confirmed he was not late in making a payment. No financial information was provided, so the resident was not out any money.
Fraud: A Prior Lake resident reported they had been scammed out of $2,500 that involved a cashier’s check and Amazon gift cards.
Accident: No injuries were reported following an accident that occurred at County Road 42 and Eagle Creek Avenue at 8:11 p.m. One vehicle was attempting to turn onto County Road 42 and was struck by another at the intersection.

March 12
Traffic Criminal: A 22-year-old man from Spring Lake Township was arrested for gross misdemeanor third degree DWI and DWI with one aggravated factor. The arrest was made on Mystic Lake Boulevard at 2:12 a.m.
Suspicious: Police were called to Stonebriar Circle at 10:25 a.m. and located two occupants in a vehicle who stated they were just talking. They were advised that the department had received multiple complaints about them parking in the neighborhood in the past and suggested they park elsewhere in a non-residential area so complaints would cease.
Accident: A car hit a deer near the intersection of Pike Lake Road and Jackson Trail at 6:20 p.m. Damage to the car included a cracked bumper and minor front-end damage.
Theft: A 56-year-old woman from Savage was cited for misdemeanor theft on Mystic Lake Boulevard at 9:53 p.m.
Medical: Police responded to the following requests for medical assistance from these locations with time noted: Carriage Hill Road, 3:44 a.m.; Royalton Road, 1:37 p.m.; Sioux Trail, 2:15 p.m.; Willow Beach Street, 2:19 p.m.
March 13
Hazard: Police observed a traffic control sign was down at 8:54 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 13 and Pleasant Street. The sign was moved to the median. Dispatch was asked to notify the state highway department and ask that the sign be reinstalled.
Warrant: A 55-year-old Elk River woman was arrested at 12:58 p.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard for three Hennepin County traffic warrants.
Accident: An accident that occurred at Franklin Trail and Highway 13 at 4:19 p.m. involved a car and semi truck. The driver of the car was attempting to make a righthand turn onto Highway 13 and the truck reportedly caught the front driver’s side panel when making a turn onto Franklin. There were no injuries.

March 14
Accident: Two vehicles were involved in an accident that occurred at midnight in the drive-thru of the McDonald’s Restaurant located on Highway 13.
Traffic Criminal: A 55-year-old man from Burnsville was arrested at 4:14 a.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard for misdemeanor fourth degree DWI, misdemeanor fourth degree operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and petty misdemeanor failure to drive in a single lane.
Suspicious: Police were called to a residence located near Wilds Parkway and Big Horn Pass at 9:17 a.m. The reporting party said a suspicious person was walking through the backyards of homes in that area. The man said he was looking for the cover of his outdoor furniture that had blown away. He said he would send a text to the neighborhood group to avoid others calling the police.
Accident: A driver traveling near Fish Point Road and Eagle Creek Avenue reported to police at 11:13 p.m. that their vehicle had been hit on the roadway. There was no damage noted, nor were there any injuries reported.
Hazard: Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Howard Lake and Marschall roads at 11:12 p.m., where a stop sign had been knocked over. One stop sign was still visible at the intersection and there were no tire tracks observed that would indicate a vehicle had hit the other. The Scott County maintenance department was notified of the sign being down.
Traffic Criminal: A 42-year-old man from St. Francis was arrested at 11:10 p.m. for DWI, refusal to submit for chemical testing, driving while impaired with one aggravating factor, driving after revocation and a warrant out of Chisago County.

March 15
Assist: Police assisted a motorist who had slid off the road at 6:15 a.m. near the intersection of Martindale Street and Pike Lake Trail. There appeared to be front-end damage to the vehicle after it hit several small trees. A towing service was called to assist with getting the vehicle back on the road.
Accident: A person driving near County Road 42 and Pike Lake Road ended up in the center median at 8:37 a.m. A towing service had already been called when police arrived.
Accident: A person driving in a parking lot located on Mystic Lake Boulevard collided with a plow truck and sustained moderate front-end damage to the passenger side front bumper and quarter panel. Minor damage was done to the driver’s side rear bumper of the truck. The accident was reported at 10:29 a.m. and no injuries were reported.
Accident: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 10:29 a.m. near Mystic Lake Drive and Stonecrest Path. One vehicle was attempting to pass a semi truck that was trying to make a left-hand turn.
Accident: Police provided lighting help during the extraction of a car from a ditch near County Road 42 and Crest Avenue at 10:15 p.m.
Disturbance: Police received a verbal complaint regarding people yelling on Mayfair Road at 11:26 p.m. They were advised by the homeowner that friends were screaming after they had jumped into the snow.

March 16
Domestic: Police were called to a residence on Bennett Street at 4:33 p.m. after a son reported that his father had taken away his PlayStation as a consequence and he attempted to stop him. Officers mediated the situation and no one was harmed.
Warrant: A 47-year-old Fridley man was arrested at 3:05 p.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard on a U.S. Marshal warrant that had been issued for a weapons offense.
Rescue: Police observed a person at 7:26 p.m. in the pond near Kop Parkway who was near a submerged snowmobile. Contact was made with the man who explained he was attempting to connect a tow rope to get the snowmobile removed from the water. Scott County deputies were called to the scene after it was determined there was no emergency. The man agreed to cease activity for the evening and return in the morning to retrieve the snowmobile. The man also relayed to police that his son’s snowmobile was stuck in the water on the north end of the pond and was anticipating that would be removed the next day, as well.

March 17
