The candidate filing period for the Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools (PLSAS) Board of Education election is now open through July 28.
Four School Board seats will be on the ballot during the Nov. 3, 2026 general election. Elected candidates will serve four-year terms beginning Jan. 1, 2027, and ending Dec. 31, 2030.
Individuals interested in running for the school board must file an affidavit of candidacy and submit the required $2 filing fee no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28.
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be an eligible voter.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have resided in the school district for at least 30 days before the general election.
- Not have filed for another office in the same election.
Candidate filing will take place at the Educational Services Center at Grainwood, 5061 Minnesota Street SE, Prior Lake, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Four current board members are serving terms that will expire at the end of 2026. They include: Lisa Atkinson, Amy Bullyan, Jessica Olstad and Dustin Smith.
