Five Hawks Elementary principal Katy Schuerman announced she would retire after this school year, according to a school district press release.
Schuerman joined Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools in 2020 from Kenyon-Wanamingo in southeast Minnesota. The district said in the press release Schuerman’s retirement takes effect June 30, 2026.
The district said it will begin the process of hiring a new Five Hawks principal and will share updates as the search progresses.
Five Hawks enrolled 458 students in kindergarten through fifth grade in the 2025-26 school year, according to the district.
