The Lakers lost to the No. 4 ranked AA team in the Let’s Play Hockey Rankings, the Minnetonka Skippers, on Dec. 23 at home.
Senior goaltender Sophie Cappiello kept the game relatively close by stopping 37 out of 41 Minnetonka shots. However, Prior Lake was unable to score on 11 shots in the 4-0 shutout.
Lakers girls hockey falls to Apple Valley/Burnsville on Girls Hockey Day

The Lakers took the ice Dec. 20 at Dakotah! Ice Center as part of Girls Hockey Day, which included a morning alumni game welcoming back former Lakers players before the varsity action.
Prior Lake opened the scoring against Apple Valley/Burnsville, as freshman forward Avery Olson found the net in the first period with an assist from junior forward Ella Voll. The Lakers carried a 1–0 lead into the first intermission.
Apple Valley/Burnsville responded with three goals in the second period and added another in the third to earn a 4–1 win. The Eagles finished with a 31–20 advantage in shots on goal.
Goaltender Cappiello stopped 27 of 31 shots for Prior Lake.
