The Prior Lake High School Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Keith Koehlmoos and Justin Schramm, participated in a concert titled “In Concert: Connection, Collaboration, Community” on Monday, Feb 9.
The performance demonstrated each student’s dedication to music and technical skill, along with educational enrichment through a student led-collaborative rehearsal selection.
The PLHS Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the Minnesota Music Educators Association Midwinter Convention. This was the first time the ensemble was selected to perform at the state level, demonstrating what students have accomplished through years of participation in Prior Lake band programs.
The Minnesota Music Education Association Convention was to be held in mid-February. Unfortunately, all in-person events were cancelled, so the ensemble and other organizations were unable to perform.
The next band concert will be on Friday, Feb. 27, with a performance of the Percussion Ensemble, followed by an All-District Band Concert on Monday, March 2. Both musical events will be held at Prior Lake High School, 7575 150th Street, Savage.
