Lisa Manders was approved by the Prior Lake-Savage Area School Board to serve as the next principal of Five Hawks Elementary.

Manders will succeed Katy Schuerman who is retiring at the end of the 2025-26 school year.

Currently the interim principal at WestWood Elementary since 2024, she began her career with PLSAS as a WestWood teacher and has since served in a variety of leadership roles, including peer coach, district Q-Comp coordinator and dean of students. She also previously served as an elementary principal in neighboring Tri-City United Public Schools.

“We are confident that Lisa will bring strong leadership, dedication and a continued commitment to student success in her new role at Five Hawks,” Superintendent Michael Thomas said. “Her experience and deep connection to our district make her well positioned to lead the Five Hawks community.”

Manders will officially assume her role as principal on July 1.
