Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools was awarded a “Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting” by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) located in Reston, Virginia.
The award recognizes school districts that uphold the highest standards of financial reporting and transparency, according to ASBO. The district earned the award for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
Participation in the program highlights a school district’s dedication to financial accountability. Submitted reports are reviewed by a panel of financial professionals who provide constructive feedback to further enhance the quality of future reports. Districts that meet those requirements are awarded the certificate of excellence, a distinction that supports bond rating and continuing bond disclosure processes.
