May 18, 2026
Found: A person walking near Hawk Ridge Road found a key fob with a key ring on the walking path. Police searched houses in the area attempting to use the fob signal to identify the owner but were unsuccessful. A person contacted the police department later that morning and correctly identified the property which was then returned to him.
Accident: Two vehicles collided at approximately 4:57 p.m. in the roundabout located at Eagle Creek Avenue and Arcadia Street. Minor damage was done to both vehicles.
Accident: The owner of a vehicle parked near the intersection of Fremont Avenue and Northwood Road reported at 6:38 p.m. that it had been struck and damage was done to the driver’s side door.
Accident: An accident involving two vehicles was reported at 7:41 p.m. near the intersection of 160th Street and Fish Point Road. One vehicle failed to yield to the other when the accident occurred. One passenger was injured in the crash.

Theft: A resident living on Candlewood Lane reported at 1:09 p.m. the theft of a necklace.
Fire: Police received a report of a vehicle on fire in a parking lot located off of Sioux Trail. The report was called in at 5:10 p.m.
Traffic Criminal: A 56-year-old Prior Lake woman was arrested for gross misdemeanor DWI, refusal to test, misdemeanor fourth-degree driving while impaired and misdemeanor obstruction of legal process and interfering with a peace officer. The incident was reported at 6:57 p.m. on Tower Street.

May 20, 2026
Hazard: A person reported at 11:06 a.m. finding two large knives near the intersection of County Road 42 and McKenna Road. One was a large hunting style knife and sheath. Police placed the items into the department’s evidence area as found property for safe keeping.
Information: A person living on Colorado Street called police at 11:34 a.m. regarding a tree that had been cut down by Xcel Energy. The resident wasn’t ready for the tree to be cut down, and it ended up partially on his property and that of St. Michael’s School. He was concerned about code violations while he was arranging for clean-up. Police advised they would document the incident.
Accident: The driver of a vehicle traveling westbound at 5:01 p.m. on County Road 42 was rear-ended by another driver when attempting to turn northbound on County Road 83. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage but remained operational. Neither driver required medical assistance.

Warrant: A 55-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested at 4:18 a.m. on Inguadona Beach Circle for failure to appear for a Dakota County gross misdemeanor warrant involving fourth-degree assault.
Accident: Two vehicles were involved in an accident that occurred at 3:42 p.m. in the roundabout located off of Duluth Avenue and Village Lake Drive. One driver failed to yield to the other causing damage to the driver’s side rear bumper. There were no injuries, and both vehicles remained operational.
Suspicious: While traveling northbound on Highway 13 at 11:04 p.m., an officer observed two drones flying overhead near 150th Street and Green Oaks Trail. Once the officer stopped directly underneath the drones, both departed in opposite directions. Nothing suspicious was observed elsewhere in the area.

Traffic Criminal: A 58-year-old Maple Grove man was arrested at 2:11 a.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI with one aggravating factor and gross misdemeanor second-degree DWI for refusing to test.
Disturbance: A 67-year-old man from Sauk Center was arrested for gross misdemeanor obstruction of legal process, misdemeanor disorderly conduct involving brawling or fighting, and misdemeanor trespass. The incident occurred at 11:15 p.m. on Mystic Lake Boulevard.
